Our visitors have nominated players for our monthly award. Of the nominated players we have selected eight as candidates in our vote. The candidates are: Sergei Mozyakin, Jori Lehterä, Tomas Plekanec, Gustaf Wesslau, Carl Söderberg, Teemu Ramstedt, Derek Ryan and Tobias Stephan.

1 Sergei Mozyakin, F, Metallurg Magnitogorsk (KHL)

Wesslau has 6 wins in 6 games in the net for HV71. He has allowed only 9 goals for an average of 1.48 per game. A saves% of .941.

5 Carl Söderberg, F, Linköping (Elitserien)
Söderberg is by far the best goal scorer of Elitserien this season. He has scored 9 goals in 7 games. No other player in the league has scored more than four. He has also earned two assists and is second in the league in points.

6 Teemu Ramstedt, F, Blues Espoo (SM-Liiga)
Ramstedt is the top scorer of SM-Liiga. In eight games he has scored 4 goals and 11 assists. Last season he only got 18 points in 36 games so he has improved a lot. He is also tied second in the league in +/- (+7).

7 Derek Ryan, F, EC VSV (EBEL)
Ryan leads EBEL in scoring with a margin of four points. He has scored 5 goals and 11 assists in 8 games. He is second in the league in +/- with a +9 rating.

8 Tobias Stephan, G, Genève-Servette (NLA)
Stephan has only allowed 9 goals in 7 games. with a goals against average of 1.29 and .966% saved shots he is a big reason why Genève leads NLA.
