ECHL regular season ends with Alaska Aces on top

The Brabham Cup is the trophy awarded annually to the ECHL team that finishes with the most points in the regular season. The recipient is guaranteed home-ice advantage throughout its participation in the Kelly Cup Playoffs..

Five teams failed to qualify for the playoffs: Trenton Titans, Chicago Express, Cincinnati Cyclones, Toledo Walleye and Bakersfield Condors.

The match-ups of the first playoff round:
Florida Everblades - Greenville Road Warriors
Utah Grizzlies - Las Vegas Wranglers
South Carolina Stingrays - Gwinnett Gladiators
Idaho Steelheads - Ontario Reign
Reading Royals - Elmira Jackals
Wheeling Nailers - Kalamazoo Wings
Stockton Thunder - Colorado Eagles

Alaska Aces gets a first-round bye.

Dustin Gazley of Elmira Jackals won the scoring title with 25 goals and 60 assists in 72 games. the best European scorer was his team mate Artem Demkov of Belarus who recorded 57 (20+37) points.
