Luleå - AIK 2-3

Three golden minutes in the second period gave AIK a 2-1 lead in the quarter final series against Luleå. At 10:48 in the second period Stefan Johansson opened the scoring with a power play goal and at 13:47 Daniel Bång scored shorthanded to make it 3-0. In between Kent McDonell had scored AIK's second goal. Luleå got their important first goal late in the second period when Johan Fransson scored with a one-timer.

After the goal Luleå took over more of the momentum and also got a second goal back when Viktor Fasth's mistake lead to 2-3 by Niklas Olausson. Luleå created some good chances to tie the game but Fasth didn't let any more pucks pass him and AIK got away with the win. Luleå had to play without Chris Abbott as he got suspended three games and fined 40 000 SEK after a checking from behind on Rastislav Pavlikovsky. Pavlikovsky also missed the game due to injury.


Skellefteå - MoDo 2-3 OT


A very important win for MoDo who otherwise would have been down 3-0 in the series. But it didn't look good for them when Skellefteå had a 1-0 lead for a long time. But goals by Per-Åge Skröder and Mattias Ritola turned the game around in the third period.

Skellefteå tied the game with their second power play goal of the when Oscar Möller found the net with 2:18 left to play. Bud Holloway assisted on both Skellefteå's goals and has now scored six points in three playoff games.

The game went to overtime where the defensive defender Ole-Kristian Tollefsen surprisingly got a breakaway and when he was hooked MoDo was awarded a penalty shot and Rob Schremp took the shot and scored the game winner.
