In the middle period Yorick Treille used one of only three shots on goal of his team in this period to cut the lead to one in a power play attempt but shortly after it Nichlas Hardt did get the two-goal lead back to team Denmark. The 3-1 was also the final score as Denmark left France more room to play in the last period but again "les bleues" couldn't use the space.

With 16 seconds left to play in the regular time Kristaps Sotnieks cut the lead to one with an extra attacker on the ice but it was already too late for the Eatern Europeans to get another one and so Norway did get all three points.
