CSKA snaps 8 game losing streak

In the two Wednesday games in KHL CSKA beat Sibir and Metallurg Novokuznetsk beat Dinamo Minsk.
Sibir 1-2 CSKACSKA won for the first time since they beat arch-rivals Dynamo Moscow 2-0 at 28 Nov. Sergei Shirokov in the middle of the second opened the scoring on a power-play after a nice pass from Tomas Surovy. Sibir answered with d-man Vyacheslav Belov's sole move, Belov came into the zone and tied the game with a high shot. With 6 minutes to play in the third the home team lost a chance to score in power-play. A minute later Denis Parshin with a backhand shot led CSKA to an important win.
"It wasn't a good game, but the confidence will come to the team step-by-step," CSKA head coach Julius Supler said to Sibir's official site.
Metallurg Nk 4-2 Dinamo MinskThe Belarus team began their Siberian trip in Novokuznetsk. At 12:56 Jaroslav Obsut fed up a nice long pass to Zbynek Irgl who opened the scoring. With 13 seconds left in the first Mikhail Kuklev tied the game after Minsk players mistake. The refs helped the home team to score the second goal; Alexander Mereskin used a ricochet from a referee and fired to give his team 1-goal lead at 22:08. Charles Linglet tied the game 7 minutes later using a Novokuznetsk defense fault. The first Chris Simon goal for Novokuznetsk became game-winning when he score in power-play at 44:09. Andrei Kuzmin closed the game with the second attempt on the empty-net with 31 seconds remaining.
