After 2 months at the bench of Dizel Penza, head coach Sergei Ivanov resigned today."When I arrived, I realized the team was in a psychological crisis, but hoped to rectify the situation. With my regret, I was not able to stabilize the team play, and therefore decided to resign as head coach. I want to thank for the cooperation with the administration, coaching staff and players", declares Ivanov, appointed in early December to replace fired Victor Korolev. New coach is Viktor Bogatyrev, who was until now coaching the 2nd team.

Riku-Petteri Lehtonen is no longer the head coach of TPS Turku in the SM-Liiga. Last in the league, TPS announced Jukka Koivu as new head coach, while Seppo Suoraniemi has been appointed assistant coach, replacing Antti Aalto.
Koivu - father of Anaheim Ducks Saku and Minnesota Wild Mikko - was previously TPS coach between 2003 and 2005.

Czech Extraliga Benzina Litvinov appointed Vladimir Kýhos as new coach after the mutual agreed resignement of former head coach Robert Reichel. Assistant coach Jiri Kucera remains in charge.
Kyhos, 55 years old, began the season as coach of 1. Liga HC Tabor and signs until end of the season with an option for next one.
