One of Sweden's greatest players of all times, Peter Forsberg, refuses to give up his career. Despite years of injury trouble he made a comeback with Colorado Avalanche in the NHL. "You could argue to say that he was our best players", Colorado's coach Joe Sacco said after the game.

Rudolf Rohacek extended his contract as Head Coach of ComArch Cracovia in the PHL until the 2013/14 season. Cracovia won the regular season and has started the playoffs with two wins, 5-0 and 10-1, against Zaglebie.

Finland's Mika Pyörälä injured his knee against Russia yesterday in the LG Games opener. He will be replaced with the Elitserien scoring leader Mikko Lehtonen.
Lehtonen's team mate in Skellefteå AIK, Tim Erixon, was supposed to play his first game for Team Sweden tomorrow but got sick and will be replaced with Jan Sandström.

There are three EIHC tournaments played right now; in Denmark, Norway and Spain. Denmark was the only home team to win today when Russia B was beaten 3-2. Nichlas Hardt scored twice. Spain lost 2-7 to Romania and Norway lost to Ukraine 0-1 after a shoot-out. Latvia beat Italy 7-1 in Norway.

In Norway the hosts lost 3-4 to Italy in the Euro Ice Hockey Challenge tournament in Lørenskog. Italian keeper Daniel Bellissiomo made 38 saves when his team was outshot 41-12. In the other game in Lørenskog Ukraine beat Latvia 2-1.
Denmark beat France 4-3 after a shootout in a game not included in the Energi Danmark Challenge standings. In the Danish tournament Russia B beat France 5-0 yesterday. Tomorrow the Russians will play Denmark 0nad the "real" game between Denmark and France will take place on Saturday.

The NHL former team Jets leaved the city of Winnipeg in 1996 and was moved to Phoenix where is playing for 14 years now as the Coyotes. The club is in the league ownership now and the NHL commissionaire Gary Bettman avows with his interest for a fast selling of the club, what was saved ahead of abolition after the club's bancruptcy.
The NHL already had a buyer - the owner of the BlackBerry company Jim Basilie would like to buy the club last year, but the civil court cancelled this deal. The league is still seeking for new buyer and also the speculations regarding the possibility of moving back the club to Winnipeg are louder and louder. Regarding backstage voices the NHL could be played in Winnipeg from the next season.

The Slovak Ice Hockey Federation announced, that goaltender Július Hudáček (HC Košice) won't join the Slovak national team for the upcoming Slovakia Cup. Slovak Head Coach Glen Hanlon decided to give the chance only to Lašák and Hamerlík, but the doors to the national team aren't closed for Hudáček in the future. Regarding his words, he just want to see other goalies, from this reason there will be no substitute for Hudáček in the team.
