In the only playoffs quarter finals series still opened, Shakhtar destroyed opponent Gomel with an undisputable 9-2, despite Gomel opening the score with captain Oleg Antonenko. When the Elitserien playoff started AIK chocked HV71 on away ice by scoring four goals in the second period. After a goalless first period AIK scored three goals in six minutes. In the last period HV took over the game completly but it was to late and AIK won 4-2. Game details.

The fourth Quarter Final game between HDD TILIA Olimpija Ljubljana and EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga today was cancelled as. The reason was that the safety for the away players from the home fans couldn't be guaranteed. A meeting will be held on Monday to decided how to handle the cancelled game.

Today was decided which four teams will play the Semi Finals of the Latvian Championship. All top seeded teams won their series 2-0. HK Ozolniemi/Monarch beat HS Riga/LSPA (16-0 and 17-2), Metalurgs Liepaja beat HS Prizma Riga (12-0 and 3-0), SMS Credit beat JLSS Zemgale (4-1 and 3-0) and DHK Latgale beat Energija Elektrenai (4-1 and 5-0). In today's game Energija-Latgale, Energija was awarded a technical loss (5-0) because they didn't have playable ice in the arena.
