Executive Director of the Espoo Blues Marcus Lindstrom said to Finnish TV MTVv3 he is "surprised" by the statement KHL president Alexander Medvedev, that his club in the next season will play in the KHL. "We are now focused in the playoffs, we never discussed about it"

President of KHL Alexander Medvedev announced that in the case of HC Lev Poprad it is almost sure now, that the club will be one of the KHL clubs for the next season: "It's certain for 99%," Medvedev told.

He also figured out, that an interest from two other clubs is the topic of the day: A Finnish club Espoo Blues and an Italian team Milan are in the game for the KHL tickets. As Medvedev stated, from the season 2012/13 it is possible for a start of other clubs, especially Slovan Bratislava(SVK), Yunost Minsk(BLR) and Sokil Kyiv(UKR). A German gutter-press Bild is also speculating about a possible start of a club from Leipzig.

Quarterfinals of Czech U20 Extraliga brought a crazy end to a game between Zlin and Znojmo. The visitors were 5-2 up with two minutes to go, but conceded a couple of penalties including a match penalty for Znojmo head coach, resulting in a 6-on-3 power play for Zlin. Petr Holik then scored three goals, one from a penalty shot, in incredible 51 seconds to make it 5-5 and send the game into overtime. Znojmo eventually came out on top to win 6-5 and tie the series at one.

Quarterfinals of GET Ligaen proved to be difficult for top teams. Only regular season winners Sarpsborg enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 series win over Rosenborg. Stavanger had to be at its best, but eventually overcame Frisk Asker 4-1. Other two series provided upsets, major one being Vålerenga knocked out of the play-offs by Lørenskog in just five games. Storhamar failed to capitalize on a home ice advantage, as well, and succumbed to a 1-4 loss to Lillehammer. Semifinal pairings are Sarpsborg - Lillehammer and Stavanger - Lørenskog.

Asiago made a great comeback in playoffs semifinal series. Current champion were down 3-1 with Bolzano but managed to win game #5 at home and yesterday game #6 2-1 in Bolzano, scoring two power play goal in second period with Layne Ulmer and Adam Henrich after ohome team opening goal by Mike Souza.

Four time Stanley Cup winner Nicklas Lidstrom will have a street in Novi, a Detroit suburban, renamed in his honor.
