Dmitri Dudik scored the game-winning goal in overtime of the 4th game in the Belarus Championship finals when Neman Grodno beat Yunost Minsk 4-3.

The Ice Hockey Association of DPR Korea (North Korea) has informed the IIHF that it has decided to withdraw the DPR Korean entries from their respective IIHF World Championship tournaments in 2011, men's and women's, both on the Division II level. The member national association has informed the IIHF that both withdrawals are due to financial reasons.

In a dejà-vu of last season, Beybarys Atyrau again won semifinal series versus Ertis Pavlodar, closing 4-2 the series, and lands in Kazakhstan League finals. In last decisive game Beybarys won 3-2 Ertis. The opponent will be know on march 29, when Barys-2 and champion Sary Arka Karaganda will play decisive game 7 in Astana. Eternal champion Sokil Kyiv 2 will be the challenger of regular season winner Donbass Donetsk in Ukranian League final series.
While Donbass easily beat in two games (1-8 and 8-4) HC Kharkiv, Sokil needs three games to weaken Companion-Naftogaz resistence. After a loss at shoot-outs in first game, Sokil captured two victories, 4-0 to equalize series and 3-1 in decisive game. Sokil will play with roster alligned in Belraus Open League with star as Oleg Blagoj, Dmitri Tsyrul, and Vadim Shakhraichuk

Košice reached the cup in Slovak Extraliga U20 after the final series against Martin. The Košice juniors won all the three games of the series (3-2 OT, 2-1, 1-0) and started to celebrate the second league title in the juniors cathegory for Košice in the history of Slovakia.

Top two teams after regular season of GET ligaen, Sparta Sarpsborg and Stavanger Oilers, have fought their way into the finals. Sparta overcame Lillehammer 4-1, while in the other semifinal series, Stavanger overturned a 1-2 deficit to beat a surprise package of the play-offs from Lørenskog 4-2.

As was expected, Marian Jelínek, 47, signed a one-year contract with the Czech Extraliga club HC Plzeň 1929 where he already spent the last two seasons in the position as the team's head coach. A gold-medalist from the WC 2005 with Czech Republic as an assistant coach stated, that the summer training camp will start in May 2. GET ligaen qualification proved to be succesful for both GET ligaen teams, Manglerud and Stjernen, both comfortably securing their top division status for next season even before the last round due to be played on Sunday. The final battle of two strongest teams in Czech 1. liga became a surprisingly one-sided affair. Usti nad Labem swept Chomutov aside in four straight games (2-1, 5-4, 3-2, 4-1) to win the league. Last season, the same pair fought a seven-game series with Chomutov becoming an eventual winner. Usti now advances to the best-of-seven series against Mlada Boleslav for a spot in Extraliga for next season. The series starts on 6th April.

Still playing legend of Czech ice hockey, Jiří Dopita, announced that it is for 90% certain, that he won't continue his engagement in the Czech Extraliga club HC Kometa Brno - the team where he spent the previous two seasons and where he's a team captain.

Dopita is an owner of the club from Olomouc that is playing in the second highest Czech league - 1.liga and regarding to his words there are just two possibilities for his future: HC Olomouc or retirement.
