The game kicked off with Herning Blue Fox taking an early lead at 10:27 into the first period, thanks to Victor Cubars, assisted by Jakob Jessen and Derian Plouffe. Rødovre Mighty Bulls quickly retaliated with a powerplay goal by Brandon Magee at 12:02, leveling the game 1-1.
The second period saw both teams fighting hard. Herning Blue Fox once again took the lead at 22:48, when Mathias Bau Hansen scored on the powerplay. However, Rødovre struck back twice-first at 26:42 with Malte Setkow equalizing, followed by a powerplay goal by Christopher Rübenach at 27:31, giving Rødovre a 3-2 lead.
Herning Blue Fox didn't stay behind for long. Morten Poulsen netted the equalizer on a powerplay at 38:21, bringing the score to 3-3. Just before the second period ended, Lukas Bang Przemieslo scored at 39:50, giving Herning a 4-3 advantage heading into the final period.
In the third period, despite Rødovre's efforts and several shots on goal, it was Herning's Przemieslo again who sealed the win with a goal at 55:50, assisted by Oskars Cibulskis, making it 5-3.
