ZSC Lions dominated the early stages, taking a 3-0 lead in the second period with goals from Nicolas Baechler, Sven Andrighetto, and Justin Sigrist. However, Växjö Lakers mounted an impressive comeback in the third period, with Emil Sylvegard scoring twice before Joachim Blichfeld tied the game at 3-3 with just 13 seconds remaining. The match went into overtime, where Dennis Rasmussen scored the game-winning goal just over a minute in, securing a 4-3 victory for Växjö Lakers.
