Alex Oldale logged his first professional win as Manchester Storm
beat Nottingham Panthers 4-2 on Friday night with 1,955 fans in the
Storm Shelter.
The 19-year-old took over netminding duties for the
Storm just 12:38 in the game with Evan Weninger forced to leave
injured. He cam into the game at 1-1 - Tyler Hinam having put Storm
ahead at 2:32, with the game tied up by Ollie Betteridge just past the
nine-minute mark.
Storm took a bench minor for Too Many Men 46
seconds into period two, but came out of the Panthers powerplay better
off thanks to Hinam converting shorthanded. Alexander Lunsjo levelled
the game at 33:27 to send things into the final period all square.

into period three, Joe Morrow put Storm back ahead, and then had Oldale
to thank for stopping a penalty shot with under seven minutes to play.
Rok Stojanovič was pulled from the Panthers net with 1:47 to play, but
46 seconds later Morrow had the puck in the empty net to settle the
game.
