Game recap

Coventry Blaze took advantage of other teams not playing to move up into the top four of the Viaplay Elite League with a big 5-1 road win in Dundee.

Having had the long bus ride up to Tayside, the Blaze started excellently and raced into a four-goal lead. Nathanael Halbert opened the scoring just 19 seconds in, followed by David Clements doubling the lead at 3:44. With 7:12 on the clock, Marley Quince converted on the powerplay to make it three, while Peyton Frantti's goal at 13:16 put Danny Stewart's team 4-0 ahead.

John Curran scored Coventry's fifth 38 seconds into period two to complete an incredible opening 21 minutes to their game.

Philippe Sanche, playing his first game since 22 October, got Dundee on the board early in period three with the game's final goal.
