Game recap

Dundee Stars extended their post-Christmas winning streak to three games with their third win of the season in Belfast over the Giants on Monday night.

Desipte going behind to David Goodwin's opening goal on the five-minute mark, Dundee drew level 1:38 later through Kevin Dufour. New arrival Matt Carter continued his impressive form since signing in Dundee with the go-ahead goal at 13:09 as the Star led after 20 minutes.

Good work from Liam Reddox set up Bobby Farnham for the tap in at 22:58 to tie the game, and just under 11 minutes later Patrick Mullen put the Giants ahead again. That lead however lasted only until 38:55 when Colton Kroeker levelled on the powerplay.

Matt Marquardt's shot from just inside the faceoff circle through a screen gave Dundee the lead on the powerplay at 49:52, and the game was sealed with two empty-net goals -  Dufour at 59:06 to make the points safe, and then the Canadian completing his hat-trick with 23 seconds remaining.
