Game recap

Guildford Flames got their first home win over Manchester this season thanks to a three-goal win against the Storm who are finishing this week with three losses.

John Dunbar opened the scoring 4:20 into period two after a scoreless first, but with Adam Hughesman levelling at 25:51 the home fans had to wait until the final period for the game to be decided. Cam Braes doubled the hosts' lead at 46:04, while Calle Ackered eight minutes later made it 3-0 and Dunbar struck against on the empty net with 78 seconds to go.

The win moves the Flames further into the mid-table mix.
