Game recap

Belfast Giants took home two points from the first of this season's live FreeSports games, thanks to a 4-1 win in Scotland against Fife.

In a pretty even opening period it was eventually the Giants who took the lead -Kevin Raine somehow alone in front of the net to score at 16:05. After Kyle Just didn't convert when through on Shane Owen at one end, the Giants broke down the other where Liam Reddox fired past Adam Morrison to double the Giants' advantage with 30:23 gone.

The Flyers were back in things however on a 5-on-3 advantage - Danick Gauthier with the slapshot that brought them back to within one.

Matt Pelech's tip on Ciaran Long's shot bought Belfast some breathing room with the two-goal lead restored at 56:08, before Bobby Farnham made the points safe with the empty netter nine seconds before the final buzzer.
