Game recap

Coventry denied Glasgow a record winning streak as the Blaze celebrated taking four points from their Scottish double-header with a win in a crazy goal fest at into Braehead.

Matt Haywood opened the scoring at 1:55, with Luke Ferrera tying things up just past the eight minute mark. Mathieu Roy put the Clan back ahead three minutes later, only for Evan Bloodoff to need two minutes to tie it up again. The Clan however led by two at the break - Scott Pitt and Mikael Lidhammar both scoring to make it 4-2 after 20 minuses.

Goals from Andrew Johnston and Dillon Lawrence tied it up inside six minutes of period two, but Clan were back ahead through Rasmus Bjerrum at 27:23.

Strangely there were then no goals for some 25 minutes, but that was no indication of what was to come. Ross Venus tied things up at 53:44, with Andrew Johnston's shot from distance going past Patrick Killeen 21 seconds later to put the Blaze ahead . John Curran then tapped in at the back post for 7-5 at 55:39 as the Blaze took a two-goal lead. Roy excellently got on the end of Haywood's pass less than a minute later to bring the Clan back to within one, but a terrible giveaway from the resulting face-off allowed Luke Ferrara to score on Ross Venus' rebound to make it 8-6 with 3:09 to go. No more goals followed!
