Game recap

Nottingham Panthers ended their winless streak with an impressive 2-1 win away to Cardiff.

It was a great start for new Panthers’ signing Jake Hansen, who found the net of only his third shift at the Viola Arena. The forward beat Ben Bowns from the left wing with 14:49, with what would be the only goal of the opening two periods.

Matias Sointu got the Devils a way back into the game as the puck was bundled over the line from close range with 8:42 to play. The Panthers should have gone back two ahead, but on a 2-on-0 Ben Bowns pulled off a fantastic save to deny Hansen a second. That would however not prove to be costly for the Panthers, who managed to hold off a late Devils onslaught to take the two points.
