Glasgow Clan were the party poopers as Nottingham returned to home ice for the first time since 1 September. A solid road game saw the visitors leave with a two-goal win.
Rasmus Bjerrum opened the night's scoring, keeping up his good recent record in bizarre circumstances - speculative shot from the neutral zone taking a bad bounce and beating Kevin Carr with 3:52 played. Brett Perlini levelled up from close range on 16 minutes for a tied score after one period. 48 seconds into period two Ollie Betteridge scored with what's fast becoming a trademark breakaway goal, but the lead wouldn't last as Matt Puphal from the point tied the game with 2:16 left in the period.
A fine two-on-one allowed Chad Rau to fire home and put the Clan in the lead with 55:47 on the clock, before a late power play effort from Mathieu Roy from close range sealed an impressive win for Zack Fitzgerald's team.
