Manchester Storm got off to a winning start in their 2019/20 Elite League season with a home win over Dundee Stars.

The Stars arrived in the Storm Shelter hot off last week's two wins over Glasgow, but were behind as Tyson Fawcett fired home on the powerplay with 9:50 hone. Scott Simmonds converted with a man advantage as he tipped Fawcett's blueline effort, before Layne Ulmer made it three deflecting Cameron Critchlow's shot past Alex Leclerc at 38:29.

Elgin Pearce continued his fantastic scoring run when he pulled one back for Dundee from close range 44 seconds before the end of the period, but that was as good as it got for Omar Pacha's side as they went down by two goals.
