Game recap

Glasgow Clan made Group A of the Challenge Cup very interesting with a late 3-2 win over Scottish rivals Fife Flyers.

The Clan, playing at home for the first time since the opening weekend of the season, wore special retro jerseys to celebrate their 10-year anniversary season.

Fife took the lead with with just over ten minutes played, Tim Crowder in the slot managing to fire into the top of the net for 1-0 after the host had turned the puck over allowing an odd-man rush the other way. The Clan though were level before the break, 18:10 on the board when Scott Pitt found the net from close range.

James livingston was on hand to tap home from Tim Crowder's pass in front to put the Flyers back in the lead with 28:53 gone - the lone goal of period two.

The Clan thought they'd equalised earlier than they did, but the goal was ruled out on video review for the net being off its moorings. However, Mikael Lidhammar did force an equaliser with 51:19 gone, tipping in a Travis Ehrhardt pass from the face-off circle. With 1:34 to play, Mathieu Roy found the net from close range to give the Clan a 3-2 win.
