One of the most interesting games of the day was played in Mytischi, where Atlant played against Salavat Yulaev Ufa.

The away team was looking more aggressively in neutral zone the first minutes, only a quick attack of the first line of Atlant could get into their account. The first minutes of the game wasn't full of acts. But when Atlant got a chance to play in power-play with Jakub Nakladal in the penalty box for slashing the score was opened. At 15:10 Janne Niskala scored with a stun slap shot from the blue line. 34 seconds later Oleg Saprykin found the space between Barulin's legs and tied the game. During goal celebrations David Petrasek messed with Alexander Radulov, both of them got a minor penalty for roughing. The game became very aggressive and in another moment Ilya Kablukov called Jakub Nakladal for a fight. When Petrasek left the penalty-box he gained another 2 minutes, now for slashing.

"Always in first period opponents row and we try to take it easy. Then we begin to play better," Salavat Yulaev forward Antti Pihlström said to Eurohockey.com.

Ufa weren't good in the body play, but in the second third of the game they overplayed Atlant in this aspect and didn't give them a real chance to score. Aleksandr Svitov was the most active player in the second, firstly he came through three players and launched a shot being in front of the net, but his shot was stoned by Konstantin Barulin. With 1:53 left of the period Svitov converted a long pass from the board by Igor Mirnov to 2-1 score.

In the last part of the game Atlant had a chance to tie the game during their power-play chance. Only confident plays by Salavat's goalie Nikita Davydov saved his team from conceding a goal. But then Salavat Yulaev still continued to dominate on the ice and scored three times. Antti Pihlström came into offensive zone and scored with a high wrist shot.

"I got a cute pass from Igor Radulov, then went in offensive zone and shot. Nothing special," Pihlström said.

Then Petr Schastliviy made it 1-4 at 52:18. 40 seconds later Igor Mirnov was first on the rebound and closed the game 1-5.

"Sometimes sport is an interesting thing. I think we played well against the top-team, which Salavat Yulaev is. In some moments we played on our maximum level," Atlant head coach Jan Karlsson said at the press-conference. "Ufa's third period goals consist of 50% level of their players and 50% luck."

Salavat Yulaev won 6 of the last 7 games and the next game will be on the road against Ak Bars.

"We had energy for the last game of the week in Kazan; despite we have a couple of guys, who're injured. Tomorrow we'll have a bit rest and we should keep going to play like now," Pihlström said.
