Kazakh champion closes the Continental Cup semifinals round with a perfect record, by beating HK Zemgale in the last game
Nomad Astana doesn't make any concessions, defeating also HK Zemgale without too many problems, closing the semi-final group with a perfect record and eliminating the Latvians, who had started the weekend well by beating Grenoble, but failing to give continuity to that good performance.
The match basically ends after 2 periods, ending 3-0 for Nomad, with goals from Nikolai Shulga on power play at 05:52 of the first period, Dias Guseinov and Maxim Musorov directly from face-offs with some responsibility from goalie Cimermanis .
The last period, with the backup Bajaruns Galejs in the Zemgale cage, passed without many emotions: the Latvian goal, scored at 49:31 with a nice shot by Daniels Andersons, responded less than a minute later with Nikolai Shulga finishing a rebound by Bajaruns Galejs on a shot by Maxim Musorov
Nomad Astana returns to the Superfinals five years after their first participation, in 2017-2018 edition in Minsk, where they finished in second place behind the champions Yunost
