in the closing game of Continental Cup day #2 in Angers, the home team needs one period to break the resistance of willing Sisak before to earn three points. Tomorrow the decisive battle vs Miercurea Ciuc

As expected, the hosts of Angers take their second victory in the Continental Cup and will play for the first place in the group against Miercurea Ciuc tomorrow evening. The opponents of KHL Sisak, defeated 5-1 by the Romanians yesterday, resisted bravely throughout the first period, especially thanks to the great saves of the American goalie David Anderson, already protagonist in the first game. The Croatians had a couple of chances in the first minutes of the match, which then became an Angers monologue, with Anderson who saved everything in the first 20 minutes, deserving the applause of the large audience.

The wall of the American goalkeeper gave way after a minute of the second period, thanks to Tommy Giroux, author of a hattrick in the victory against Ferencvaros. Having found the first goal, Angers is psychologically released and scores another two goals in a few minutes, with Joe West and Phillipe Halley, this on an mistake by Anderson. The domination of the Ducs on the ice is total and before the end of the time other goals arrive: by Baptiste Couturier at minute 31, by Zack Torquato with 5 minutes to play. The shots on goal are 25, more than one per minute

The last period has the same script, with the Croatians totally at the mercy of the opponent, who, however, manages to score the sixth goal only after 4 minutes with Joe West, assisted by Antonin Manavian. The seventh goal comes after a quick move that finds Nick Ross free to score with the cage open. In less than a minute, the eighth goal arrived, scored with a deflection in front of goal by Teo Sarlieve on an assist from Vincent Llorca and the ninth, netted by Robin Gaborit. At 53:59 it was Phillippe Halley’s turn to score the tenth point at the end of a attack line action. But that's not all: Sisak no longer has the strength to fight and Antonin Manavian and Cameron Brown score.

Les Ducs fulfill their mission and will face Miercurea Ciuc for qualification in a real final
