The Sheffield Steelers won their first Challenge Cup of the EIHL era when they defeated the Cardiff Devils.
Sheffield raced into a three goal lead, courtesy of goals from Davies and Vallerand in the first period and Brendan Connolly from a penalty shot early in the second.
Then Cardiff hit back. through Jardine and Marjimakito make it a one goal game.
At the start of the last period Steelers went into a 2 goal lead. . After picking up the puck in the neutral zone, Michael Davies went in on a two-on-one, electing to take the shot himself, putting it past the blocker of Bowns to make it 4-2 to the Steelers.
With a minute to go Haddad pulled one back but it was too late to stop a Steelers win.
