In a thrilling encounter Dundee Comets became the Scottish league Champions
Because of severe adverse weather conditions in March the title decider was not played until the weekend of 14th/15th April.
That was when Paisley Pirates, needing four points to clinch the title took on third place Kirkcaldy Kestrels, themselves still in with a title chance.
On the Saturday Paisley defeated Kirkcaldy to set up a decider between them and leaders Dundee Comets. In their previous encounter both sides had shared the spoils and paisley went into the game knowing only a win would secure glory whereas a draw was good enough for Dundee.
Dundee led 1-0 at the end of the first but Paisley battled back to tie the game up at 3-3 after 40 minutes. Paisley edged in front but Dundee levelled and two goals in the final minute saw the game end in a 6-6 tie but this meant that Dundee would lift the title due to goal difference.
The two sides battle it out again next weekend in the Scottish Cup final.
