MoDo stays in Elitserien

The classic club MoDo, where players like Peter Forsberg, Markus Näslund and the Sedin twins started their elite careers needed to win the last game of the season to avoid relegation, and they did it wining 2-0 against Södertälje
Eight golden seconds in the second period took MoDo to another season in Elitserien. It was on all decisive game about which team would play in Elitserien next season. At the end MoDo stood as winners after winning 2-0. A result that means that Södertälje SK is relegated to Allsvenskan.
The game was even but 4:01 into the second period MoDo scored the important first goal when Robert Rosén picked up a rebound for an easy finish. And eight seconds later things got even worse when Per-Åge Skröder made it 2-0 when Södertälje wasn't awake after the faceoff.
Despite several good chances for Södertälje in last couple of minutes no more goals were scored and MoDo took the last spot in next year's Elitserien together with Växjö Lakers who won Kvalserien and is promoted to Elitserien.
