It took 97 minutes and 55 seconds before Skellefteå's Jimmie Ericsson scored the game winner after a nail biting and entertaining second final game between Skellefteå and Färjestad.
The game winning goal was scored during a delayed penalty call when Ericsson picked up a rebound from a shot from Oscar Lindberg in front of goal and scored from close range.
Färjestad got off to a good start when Anders Bastiansen put his stick to an ice shot by his fellow Norwegian team mate Marius Holtet. The deflection was enough to find the fifth hole and find the net behind the Andreas Hadelöv. But after the goal Färjestad took the four penalties in short time and Tim Erixon could tie the game with a shot from the blueline. The first period ended with a 1-1 tie with both teams playing a good game.
During the first intermission the fire alarm went off and the arena was evacuated. It was smoke from a glove on a heater that set fire alarm off but the arena could quickly be filled again but the game was stilled delayed for about 15 minutes.
When the game started again it only took Färjestad 2:32 to take the lead after a nice shot by Mikael Johansson. Färjestad continued to play well at the start of the second period and Skellefteå's head coach Anders Forsberg felt forced to take a time out after 5:21.
But the time out didn't help much and Färjestad continued to dominate the period and Skellefteå's first shot on goal didn't came before 10:19. Shots on goal in the second period were 3-11 but it was Skellefteå had the best chance but Christopher Nihlstorp who made his second apperance of the playoffs made a great save on Martin Lundberg's close range effort.
In the third period Skellefteå came out stronger and after seven minutes the game was tied again. Niclas Burström scored his first ever goal for Skellefteå's senior team. And what a goal it was, a brilliant pass by Anders Söderberg gave Burström free room on the left side of the offensive and with after a very nice deke he could easily score on the empty with Nihlstorp swimming on the ice. That was the only goal of the period and the game went to overtime.
The first overtime period was entertaining with chances at both ends but the period was scoreless. In the fift period Jonas Junland got a great chance after 3 minutes but he missed the target. One minute later Yared Hagos had even better chance at the other end but Nihlstorp saved.
