The KHL semi final between Salavat Yulaev Ufa and Metallurg Magnitogorsk goes to seven games after Metallurg's 5--3 win today.

Salavat had a chance to qualify for the finals with a win today and they got the perfect start when Igor Grigorenko scored 0-1 after only 21 seconds.

The game was tied at 7:55 when Juhamatti Aaltonen scored at 7:55. At 12:37 Sergei Fedorov made it 2-1 for Metallurg and Salavat switched goalies. Vitaly Kolesnik replaced Erik Ersberg who had allowed 2 goals in 4 shots. At 16:12 Igor Grigorenko scored his second goal of the game to tie it at 2.

Gleb Klimenko was the man behind the important 3-2 and 4-2 goals. With these two goals he moved to the top of the playoffs goal scoring list with 10 goal. In the regular season he only scored on five occasions.

Sergei Zinoviev gave Salavat new hope with a 4-3 goal a few minutes before the end but Tomas Rolinek's empty-netter with 19 seconds remaining saved the day for Metallurg.

The seventh game to decide who gets to play Atlant in the KHL finals will be played on Tuesday.
