Växjö Lakers beat Skellefteå AIK 4-1 in Skellefteå to take a 3-2 lead in the Swedish finals.
Five games - five away wins. That's the story of the SHL finals. Växjö won 4-1 in Skellefteå tonight and have home advantage(?) in game six on Thursday.
The home team got a nightmare start when Växjö's Jani Lajunen scored 1-0 at 7:21 and Erik Josefsson doubled the lead two minutes later. Skellefteå got its only goal close to the end of the second period when Janne Pesonen beat Christopher Nilstorp who was back in the Växjö net after missing the last two games.
Towards the end of the game Skellefteå pulled Markus Svensson from the net, but instead of the equalizer Växjö twice managed to find the net from long distance. Liam Reddox first and Jani Lajunen 15 seconds later.
Game six will be played in Växjö on Thursday.
