Goodbye old friend

Goodbye old friend

It was privilege to be part of you and I'm gonna miss you

I'm not a Biel fan because of Anken, Dupont, Gosselin or Poulin. I never saw those legends play. I wasn't here when Biel won the three LNA titles. I don't love you because I was born in Biel. Because I wasn't. I was born in Portugal 2000 km away from here. I saw you for the first time in LNB against Visp. There were 1600 persons inside of you. From that moment on I loved you. A lot of people asked me how is that even possible that I love you and your team when I was 2000 km away... that's easy... Your city, you and you club chose me.

The old stadium saw in me a citizen of the world. Saw that I don't support injustice and that I have to show solidarity. Saw that I don't close myself in a culture or one ethnicity. I have to be free. Saw that don't want to win at all costs, I have to be fair. But the most important is what the old stadium wants me to see. That the passion doesn't have color, race or place. I will never forget the old stadium. He gave me new friends when I had none in this country. He chose me to be part of the passion as if  I had lived here all my life. With you I've felt sadness, happiness, exasperation, exultation, depression and euphoria, all in a 60 minutes game.

With you I have learned that if I want something I have to fight for, I have learned to suffer. I have learned that nobody choses you. You chose the people to be part of it. And learn that I will be part of it forever. You were born with a will and solidarity in you. That what's made you special and different from others. Everyone has moment with you. To me was that Kevin Lötscher goal against Lausanne, it was something that I hadn't experienced before in my life. I almost died there from happiness...

I heard that you have a son... I heard that your son is beautiful. You will be a proud father. I hope he give us the same success and happiness that you give to us. In the future were ever you will be... we're gonna tell your son how beautiful you were, that you have made people very happy in your life. It was a privilege to be a part of you. Goodbye old friend.
