Aleksandr Godynyuk to coach Ukraine
After the sudden farewell of Andrei Nazarov, Federation opted for an internal replacement
A week after the mutual agreement to terminate Andrei Nazarov contract - the Russian coach has now a new job in Kazakhstan with Barys Astana and the national team - Ukraine Federation announced the appointment of Aleksandr Godynyuk as new headcoach of the national team. Godynyuk was Nazarov's assistant last season, when he coached also U20 national team and MHL team Molodaya Gvardia Donets'k.
"Immediately after the termination of contract with Mr. Nazarov, we started to search for a new coach. We concluded that currently the best candidate for the vacant position is Alexander Godynyuk "- said the President of the Federation Anatoly Brezvin.
