After the hat trick yesterday over Denmark, Cody Hogdson scores two goals against Italy showing everybody that he has still a lot to give in Ice Hockey World. The first goal of the game came out at minute 13 after a tic-tac-toe between Scheifele and Joel Ward with the last being successful has he put's the puck on the net. When the period was almost over Joachim Ramoser get's a game misconduct penalty after a kneeing attack over Vancouver Canucks star Alexandre Burrows. The timing wasn't the best has Italy had still managed to be in the game.

In the beginning of the second period Cody Hogdson made second of the game after a rebound in front of the net. Three minutes later, the third goal for Canada is scored by Washington Capitals Jason Chimera after another tic-tac-toe with Mark Scheifele. The fourth goal came out in a shorthanded goal by Senators center Kyle Turris a after a pass by Matt Read. Would be third goal of the game in breakaway. Four-Nothing at half period the game was done.  Before the second period ends Cody Hogdson with a nice backhand scores the fifth goal for team Canada.

In the third period Italian backup goalie Andreas Bernard replaced Daniel Bellissimo in the net and that bring out some motivation for Italy has they tied the period 1-1. Italy would actually score the first of the game by David Borrelli assisted by Giulio Scandella at minute 41:12. To complete the stats Brayden Schenn scored the sixth goal of the game after a pass made by Florida Panther's Jonathan Huberdeau. With 13 points in 5 games Canada will discuss the first place next Sunday with team Sweden. The life is getting complicated for Italy has they play the last two games with Slovakia and Sweden. If they want to play the World Championships next year in Czech Republic they need to pull some miracle... then again... It's hockey, everything is possible.... stay tuned in Eurohockey.
