AIK won the third game in a row against league winner HV71 in the Swedish playoffs. And once again AIK can thank their fantastic goaltender Viktor Fast who made 40 saves.
HV took the lead when Captain Johan Davidsson scored at the 14-minute mark. A couple of minutes later HV's Andreas Falk checked AIK's defenseman Josh MacNevin from behind and got a 5 minutes + game misconduct penalty. AIK used the powerplay to tie the game on a goal by Kent McDonell.
A few seconds after HV had returned to full strength, AIK scored again when Stefan Johansson beat Daniel Larsson in the HV 71 net. Larsson was pulled in the last two minutes of the game and Christian Sandberg could make it 3-1 with an empty-net goal.
