Eurohockey.com's visitors name Teuvo Teräväinen the most outstanding European player in January 2014.
Teuvo Teräväinen led Finland to the gold medals of the 2014 World Junior Championship in Malmö. He scored only two goals in the seven games, but thanks to thirteen assists he managed to win the scoring title with a 3-point margin.
In the Finnish league he had a similar record during January with two goals and twelve assists in six games with Jokerit.
Teräväinen was born September 11, 1994 in the Finnish capitol Helsinki and he is a product of the youth system of Jokerit. He made his first season in the Finnish top league in 2011/12 when he recorded eighteen points in forty games. The season after he got thirty-one points in forty-four games.
He played the World U18 Championship twice and the World U20 Championship also on two occasions.
In 2012 he was drafted by Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL draft as number 18 overall.
