Coaches Doug Shedden and Serge Pelletier have called on 24 players to defend Canada's title at the annual holiday event.
Hockey Canada has announced the roster of Team Canada to defend the Spengler Cup title won last year: coaches Doug Shedden (EV Zug) and Serge Pelletier (Ambrì-Piotta) selected 24 players, as usual almost all playing in Europe, seven - Micki DuPont, Geoff Kinrade, Brett McLean, Maxim Noreau, Byron Ritchie, Travis Roche and Derrick Walser - were also in 2012 Spengler Cup winning campaign. Team Canada will debut on December 26 against Czech team Vitkovice.
