When Denmark and Slovenia played in Stockholm both sides earned their first points of the World Championship but it was Denmark who got the important overtime goal.

Danish captain Morten Green scored the overtime winner against Slovenia at 61:53. The goal may turn out to be the one thing that keeps his team from relegation.

Slovenia took the lead twice. Both times by Rok Ticar of Kölner Haie. Kim Staal tied it the first time with his first WC goal since 2009 and Morten Madsen the second.

"They had a lot of momentum in the last five minutes of the third period, but we came back twice so we stayed positive and believed we could score for a third time. We made it", Kim Staal said to IIHF.com after the game.
