The underdogs get their revenge against their higher positioned division neighbours

Amur Khabarovsk gained their second win in a row at home by defeating Sibir Novosibirsk with 3-1. For the bottom side of Chernyshyov Division it was a lot of hard work where Sibir had a couple of major scoring opportunities especially in the third period where it seemed only like a question of time before Sibir could score the equalizer. Instead it was Jakub Petruzalek who ended all hopes of the guests for points with his empty netter at 58:58. Just seconds before had the today very strong Jeff Glass left the Sibir net. In the first two periods the game was even and Alexander Osipov had brought Amur in front already at 08:14 in a power play when Jori Lehterä sat in the penalty box for tripping. In the second period Arturs Kulda was able to tie the match at 24:59 but not even three minutes later Timofei Shishkanov deflected a blue line shot by Vladimir Loginov into the net.

With this win Amur has made a jump from the third last place in the KHL table to the fifth last. Now they left Spartak Moscow and Atlant Moscow Oblast behind themselves.
