Record low crowd watched Färjestad lose to Växjö

Only 4709 spectators came to see today's game Färjestad-Växjö. That was the worst number ever in Löfbergs Lila Arena. Färjestad had a 2-0 lead but lost the game 6-3.

 
 
 
 
The lowest number of spectators ever in an Elitserien game in Löfbergs Lila Arena. Only 4709 fans saw the nome team Färjestad lose 6-3 to Växjö. Färjestad has had a home average of 5647 this season compared with 6393 last season. Elitserien in total has had an average of 5835 this year and 6589 last year.

Färjestad took on early 2-0 lead with goals by Patrik Lundh and Ole Kristoan Tollefsen. But then Växjö scored five unanswered goals - Tomi Kallio, Noah Welch, Dennis Rasmussen twice and the another goal by Kallio. Rickard Wallin made it 3-5 in the middle of the game but Steve Saviano finalized the scoring with a sixth goals for the visitors at 41:28.


Linköping got two points beating Luleå in overtime. Carl Söderberg scored the only goal of the game with just 16 seconds remaining of the overtime period.


Martin Lundberg, Petter Emanuelsson and Jimmie Ericsson scored for Skellefteå when they beat MODO 3-2 away in Örnsköldsvik.


Gustaf Wesslau made 32 saves and earned a shut-out when HV 71 beat Brynäs 3-0. Mattias Karlsson and David Petrasek scored in the beginning of the game and Andreas Jämtin scored his first goal since he returned to HV from Linköping when he made it 3-0 with an empty netter at 58:39.


After four losses in a row AIK got a win in today's home game against Timrå.Mattias Janmark-Nylén made it 1-0 for AIK and Jonathan Hedström tied it. Fredrik Hynning, a former Timrå player, made it game-winning 2-1 for AIK in the middle of the last period.


Fabian Brunnström and Joel Lundqvist scored for Frölunda when they beat Rögle 2-1. Mike Iggulden scored Rögle's goal only 27 seconds before the buzzer.
