Switzerland beats Slovakia

Deutschland Cup at Munich. Kevin Romy in great shape led the Swiss national team with a victory over Slovakia. Second game Saturday against Germany.

After 16 minutes Geneve-Servette player Kevin Romy opened the score for the Swiss. The center scored from a rebound given by the Slovakian goalie Peter Hamerlik on a shot made by Simon Bodemann.

Sean Simpson players have probably delivered during the first 20 minutes one of the best periods since Sean Simpson started to coach the Swiss national team. Swizterland took  four penalties witch they prevented without problem. In the second and period both teams look for goals but the line Bodemann-Romy-Hollenstein would score once again the second and the third goal.

With a 3-1 score Swiss seemed have his job done. But Slovakia is a team that fight for every puck and never give up until the end. The second Slovakian goal at minute 55 and the 35 saves from Swiss goalie Martin Gerber are there to prove it. The Swiss goalie reminded everyone that he still got it.

On Saturday Switzerland plays the home team (16h15 live in German channel Sport1) Germany.
