Set for Spengler Cup semis

Geneve Servette beat Spartak Moskva 2-0 and Team Canada beat Sparta Praha 4-3 in overtime in the Spengler Cup to qualify for the semi finals where Geneve will face SKA St. Petersburg and Team Canada gets to play HC Davos.
Geneve-Servette scored twice in the first period against
Dominik Hasek in the Spartak Morkva net. That was enough for the victory as their goalie
Tobias Stephan kept his net clean.
Dan Fritsche and
Richard Park got the goals for the Swiss team.
In the other quarter final Team Canada´s
Micki Dupont scored in overtime to get his team past Sparta Praha. Canada's
Jean-Pierre Vigier scored the only goal of the first period. Sparta won the second period 3-2 and the third remained scoreless. At 3.20 of the overtime period Dupont scored assisted by
Cory Murphy.
SKA St. Petersburg and HC Davos were group winners in the first stage and are already qualified for the semi finals.
