After another win HV71 now leads Elitserien with a 5-point margin. Today Gustaf Wesslau earned a shut-out when Linköping was beaten 5-0. Timrå and Rögle win important points at the bottom of the standings.

Gustaf Wesslau made 21 saves and allowed no goals when HV71 beat hosting Linköping 5-0 in front of 8017 spectators in Cloetta Center. Rhett Rakhshani and Tommy Kristiansen scored in the first period.  Mattias Karlsson in the second. Rakhshani scored his second of the game at 51:09 to make it 4-0 and with 1:27 remaining Sebastian Strandberg scored his first Elitserien goal for 5-0.

Skellefteå got the bonus point in the over-time game away to Växjö. Joakim Lindström scored both goals for the visitors in the 2-1 win. 0-1 in the middle of the first period and 1-2 with only 18 seconds remaining of the 5-minutes overtime period. Jeremias Augustin scored Växjö's goal in the second period.

Rögle beat Brynäs in overtime to get two very important points at the bottom of the table. Daniel Sondell scored the game winner at 64:43. Mathias Tjärnqvist, Alexander Barta, Mike Iggulden and Fredrik Warg also scored for the home team. For the guests Johan Harju scored two goals while Ryan Gunderson and Andreas Thuresson scored a goal each.

Färjestad's goalie Alexander Salak made 28 saves and also got an assist in the 2-0 win away to MODO. Marcus Paulsson scored 0-1 at only 36 seconds of play. Martin Røymark added 0-2 in the empty net with 41 seconds remaining of the game.

The game between Timrå and Luleå saw no goals in the regular 60 minutes or the overtime period. Niklas Nordgren got the game-winning 1-0 goal for Timrå in the shoot-out. Daniel Bellissimo made 22 saves for Timrå and David Rautio 27 saves for Luleå.
