French juniors promoted to Division I

France easily beat The Netherlands 6-1 on the final day of the World U20 Championship Division II in Tallinn, Estonia. In the five games of the tournament France scored 49 goals and allowed only 5.

 
 
 
 
It was no question which was the stronger team in the championship deciding game between France and the Netherlands. The French team outshot the Dutch 40-18 and also got a great start of the game - 4-0 after the first period.

France won big in all games: Spain 8-1, Belgium 15-0, Estonia 11-0, Iceland 9-3 and The Netherlands 6-1.

The tournament was a dissaster for the hosting Estonians. Only one win, 7-1 against Iceland, but that was enough to avoid relegation. Iceland managed to beat Belgium 5-1 in the opening game but lost the remaining 4 games to be relegated.

Spain had a great tournament and finished third. They lost the first two games but then beat Belgium 5-2, Estonia 4-3 and Iceland 1-0.
