Russian Vladimir Kuznetsov was named the new National team coach
The Luxembourgish Ice Hockey Federation has named a new head coach. Vladimir Kuznetsov will be the man behind the bench for the upcoming season.
The 57-year-old Russian coached the HC Metz in the French Division 2 last year. He played for the Amnéville Galaxians in the Division 1 and 2 from 1990-2003. After that, he began his coaching career. In 2010-2011, he was assistant coach in Metz and took over the job of head coach in 2011-2012. Kuznetsov will also be the head coach for the U18 national team aswell as the Tornado Luxembourg.
The whole FLHG organization would like to thank former coach Marian Gallo for his great work in Luxembourg. Even though the national team was undergoing major changes within the last couple years, Gallo managed to form a strong squad which performed very well at the World Championships. Marian Gallo has done a tremendous job reshaping both the rosters of the national team and of the Tornado Luxembourg.
