Swedish Division 1 teams unite

Fifty of the fifty-six teams of the Swedish third level hockey – Division 1 – formed today an association.
The third league in Sweden, below Elitserien and HockeyAllsvenskan is called Division 1 and is divided into six regional groups. Today the clubs formed a new association called HockeyEttan.
HockeyEttan aims to create better conditions for the member clubs.
It will handle issues such as media, rights, marketing and sales. In addition to that they hope to act as a partner to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association for the development of hockey in general and the conditions relating to Division 1 in particular.
