One goal in the first period, two goals in the second and three in the third helps Russians to beat Switzerland and Andrei Vasilevsky to make his first shutout at this championship.

"We had a meeting with coaches and players. Everyone told what he thinks we should change in our tactics," said Russian forward Denis Kamayev.

Russia started the game with a nice one-timer under the crossbar by the youngest guy on the Russian team defenseman from Red Army Moscow Nikita Zadorov in the 5th minute.  Suisse got 3 PP chances in the first minutes but can’t create any real chances near Vasilevsky’s net. At 13 seconds of the second Anton Slepyshev touched the puck to the net to doubled Russian advantage. The last 4 goals of Team Russia were so similar. Yakimov, Delnov, Zharkov and Barabanov increased the lead to 6 goals. Goalie Andrei Vasilevsky stopped 24 shots and earned a shutout.
