Kosice takes the lead

After two games in Kosice (Kosice - Slovan 2:5, Kosice - Slovan 4:2) third game was on schedule in Bratislava yesterday. Kosice won the match 3:1 and took a 2-1 lead in the series.
The score was opened in powerplay by Bartanus, but it was mostly due to Kosice´s defender Homer, who pushed the puck by mistake into his own goal. Slovan Bratislava´s players pushed and pushed but HC Kosice´s goalie Jaroslav Hylak was against them. He showed some good catches. Richard Jencik in the 34th minute after a solo break into Slovan´s defence scored a goal and equalized the score. After a beautiful pass from Spilar, Dravecky scored the leading goal. Finally, Bartos scored a shorthanded goal and closed the score in the third final match.
Kosice is now in lead 2 to 1. They are also on track to reach their fourth tittle in a row. Most probably it is the final play off for HC Slovan Bratislava in Slovak Extraliga, cause they´re highly interested into joining Russian´s KHL next season. Fourth game is on schedule at friday 13th April.
