Andrej Rajcak, was suspended for six months and fined with 1000 lei by the Disciplinary Committee of the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation, after he attacked referees Lehel Gergely and Adrian Cosmin Topârceanu following
Game 3 of the
Romanian National Hockey League finals.
At the end of the match against HSC Csikszereda, played on the 26th of March in Miercurea Ciuc, Rajcak, unhappy with some of the decisions made by the referees, rushed to Lehel Gergely and repeatedly tackled him, the conflict being resolved by the intervention of the security agents. Subsequently, on the way to the dressing room, the Slovak coach ripped the badge off of referee Adrian Cosmin Topârceanu.
The Romanian National Hockey League finals are currently playing between HSC Csikszereda and ASC Corona Braşov. After 4 games the series is 3-1 for the team from Miercurea Ciuc.
