Avtomobilist decisively defeated Salavat Yulaev 6-1 at the KRK Uralets arena in Yekaterinburg. With 5,545 spectators in attendance, the home team delivered a dominant performance from start to finish.

The game started with Avtomobilist setting the tone early, applying relentless pressure and keeping Salavat Yulaev pinned in their own zone. In the 9th minute, Sergey Zborovsky opened the scoring for Avtomobilist with a sharp-angle goal, assisted by Stéphane Da Costa, putting the home side ahead 1-0. Avtomobilist continued to control the game, and just before the end of the first period, Alexey Byvaltsev added another goal to make it 2-0.

Salavat Yulaev struggled to keep up, and despite some chances in the second period, including a penalty shot by Joshua Leivo that was saved by Evgeny Alikin, they failed to convert opportunities. Brooks Macek extended Avtomobilist's lead to 3-0 midway through the second period, taking advantage of a power play after a well-executed pass from Jesse Blacker.

The third period saw Avtomobilist pull further ahead with goals from Curtis Valk, Macek again, and Anatoly Golyshev, leaving Salavat Yulaev with little hope of a comeback. Salavat Yulaev's lone goal came from Alexander Khmelevsky in the second period.

Despite Salavat Yulaev outshooting Avtomobilist 29-21 overall, the visitors struggled to break down the home team's defense. Evgeny Alikin's solid goaltending and Avtomobilist's effective penalty kill sealed the victory. Key stats included faceoffs favoring Avtomobilist 35-27 and blocked shots even at 13 each, but the scoreboard clearly reflected Avtomobilist's superior play.
